Java Developer – 12-Month Contract – Tier 1 Banking – London & Glasgow

As a valued member of our Software Engineering Group, you’ll apply your expertise across the software development lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders daily to deliver cutting-edge solutions. What You’ll Bring

• Java 17 (using Spring technology stack)
• Strong understanding of micro-service design patterns
• Proficiency in database SQL and data modelling
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency with developmental toolsets
• Experience in middleware application development
• Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience in monitoring/managing production applications (e.g., Prometheus, Dynatrace)
• Exposure to file transfer protocols
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Understanding of the Full SDLC such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
• Exposure to cloud-native development
