What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design and implement comprehensive observability strategies using Splunk and other potential tools.
  • Develop dashboards and alerts for critical payment workflows to identify bottlenecks or anomalies.
  • Establish baselines and KPIs for system performance and availability.
  • Lead incident response efforts, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.
  • Create playbooks for recurring issues to reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR).
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve vendor-specific integration challenges.
  • Define SLOs: Collaborate with stakeholders to set uptime, latency, and error rate objectives.
  • Track SLAs: Monitor compliance for internal guarantees and vendor agreements, escalating breaches.
  • Error Budgets: Implement and manage error budgets to balance reliability and innovation.
  • Automate Monitoring: Build tools for real-time SLA/SLO tracking and alerting.
  • Incident Analysis: Investigate SLA breaches, ensure postmortems address root causes, and prevent recurrence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and adjust SLOs based on system performance and business needs.


You Are a Perfect Match If You've Got:


  • Extensive knowledge of Openshift AppDev Skills and Openshift pipelines
  • Knowledge of Tekton
  • Expertise in log management tools (e.g., Splunk) and observability frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of payment systems, including integration with internal and vendor products.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g. Powershell) and configuration management tools.
  • Experience with incident management in high-stakes, regulated environments like banking.
  • Familiarity with container platforms (e.g., OpenShift) and cloud-native architectures.
