About The Role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to support the development and uplift of Suncorp’s Identity Platform. You’ll contribute to secure authentication services that enable seamless access across our digital channels. This is a backend-focused role with exposure to cloud, DevOps, and enterprise identity tools.

This role is paying between $100,000-110,000 including super.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain backend APIs using Java and Spring Boot to support secure identity services.
Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift (Kubernetes), ensuring resilience and compliance.
Automate infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible for efficient delivery.
Integrate cloud-native applications with AWS services like S3, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
Collaborate with stakeholders to uplift platform performance, security, and observability.
Support enterprise identity solutions using Ping Identity and ForgeRock, contributing to platform stability.

What You'll Bring

2+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering, ideally in Java and Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Security, and Hibernate.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), scripting (Python, Groovy, Shell), and SQL/Oracle databases.
Exposure to container orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS).
Understanding of identity protocols (OAuth2, JWT) and secure coding practices.
Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues independently and collaboratively.
