Role: Java API Developer
Location: Sydney
Fulltime (Permanent)
Job Description:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful and SOAP-based APIs using Java.
- Implement microservices architecture using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and related frameworks.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Integrate APIs with databases using JPA/Hibernate and optimize query performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Build unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and API performance tuning.
- Implement security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and role-based access controls.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Provide API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI and support in deployment and production issues.
