About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to enhance and build automated tools, transform complex datasets, and deliver accurate insights that support reconciliation and business decision-making. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and prepare clear reports and dashboards—all while ensuring strong data quality and compliance. Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing automated processes and reporting tools (Python scripts, VBA macros, Power Query workflows, etc.).
  • Design and develop new automation solutions based on evolving business needs.
  • Clean, transform, and structure datasets to support reconciliation and analytics tasks.
  • Perform data analysis to assist in client fund management, exception investigation, and process improvement.
  • Support daily fund reconciliation processes and ensure data accuracy across internal and external systems.
  • Collaborate with settlement, data, risk, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Prepare timely reports, dashboards, and documentation for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements in all data processes.


Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python (data manipulation, automation, Pandas, etc.).
  • Strong command of VBA for Excel automation.
  • Solid experience with Power Query / Power BI for data transformation and reporting.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and analyzing data from multiple data sources.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial services, brokerage operations, fund settlement, or reconciliation is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in both Chinese and English (spoken and written) is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
