Role Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible Aurora Hunters for the upcoming northern lights season. This is a temporary on-site role based in Rovaniemi, with work taking place across Lapland — from Northern Sweden to Northern Finland.

What you’ll do:

• Lead nightly aurora-hunting tours

• Drive an 8+1 seated van to chase the northern lights

• Provide guidance on aurora hunting and photography

• Take photos of guests under the northern lights

• Ensure safety and an unforgettable experience

Bus tour option (no license required):

• Guide northern lights tours on a 50+ seat bus with 1–2 other guides

• Focus on guest interaction, aurora knowledge, storytelling, and photography

• No driving responsibilities

Training provided:

• In-depth northern lights hunting training

• Photography training on how to capture guests under the auroras

Compensation:

Van-driving Aurora Hunter:

• 22€/hour + 1.28€/hour evening allowance

• Vacation bonus at end of season

• Free private healthcare

Bus-tour Aurora Hunter (no license needed):

• 15€/hour + 1.28€/hour evening allowance

• Vacation bonus at end of season

• Free private healthcare
