Product Owner - 12 Month FTC

Salary: €70,000–€75,000

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software / Technical Product Owner with strong communication abilities and a proven track record of effective cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will excel at working closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and customer-facing functions to deliver high-quality digital products. Experience working with AI-driven tools, platforms, or product features is essential.

This role combines strategic product thinking with technical understanding, enabling you to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable plans that drive meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Delivery

• Develop and maintain a clear product vision, roadmap, and backlog aligned with business strategy.
• Translate high-level requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical tasks.
• Prioritise backlog items based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and review sessions with engineering teams.
• Ensure timely and successful delivery of product increments.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, data, UX, operations, compliance, and commercial teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Communicate product goals, updates, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate cross-team alignment and proactively remove blockers.
• Gather and analyse stakeholder feedback to drive continuous product improvements.

AI-Related Responsibilities

• Work with AI/ML teams or AI-driven platforms to develop or enhance product features.
• Understand AI constraints, data requirements, and model deployment considerations.
• Translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions and assess feasibility and impact.
• Ensure ethical, compliant, and high-quality usage of AI within the product ecosystem.

User & Market Insight

• Collaborate with UX and analytics teams to understand customer needs and behaviours.
• Use data, research insights, and industry trends to inform product decisions.
• Monitor product performance and contribute to continuous optimisation efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• 3–5+ years’ experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Technical BA in a software or digital environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering and technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Experience working with or implementing AI tools, models, or AI-powered product features.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end delivery of technical products.
