Primary Responsibilities
- Monitoring and processing various sources to produce actionable intelligence for multiple consumers
- Demonstrated experience working with network, host, and user activity data, assessing norms and identifying anomalies
- Support the development of procedures and systems for the protection, conservation and accountability of proprietary, personal or privileged electronic data
- Continuously evaluating existing sources for value and supporting decision-making related to the future use of those sources
- Supporting the creation and implementation of new processes as appropriate
- Staying current on cyber security best practices, news, issues, vulnerabilities and threats (specifically as they apply to the healthcare and financial industries)
- Fulfilling routine and ad-hoc reporting requests
- Conducting advanced analytical research efforts
- Conducting briefings as needed
- Supporting activities related to the implementation and use of tools for intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- AA/AS or equivalent experience in information security or computer science
- Proven experience of active SIEM use, data analysis or engineering
- Demonstrated knowledge of data correlation techniques
- Demonstrated technical knowledge within areas of expertise
- Proactively stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal, to both business and technology audiences
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects independently, ensuring that finished work meets established standards for quality and timeliness
- Proven experience using proprietary and/or open source tools to gather and analyze intelligence
