UX Engineer | The Hague (Hybrid)

The team are searching for a creative, technically strong, and AI-curious UX Engineer to help us build the next generation of intelligence products that matter.

This isn't your typical UX engineer position. You'll sit at the exciting intersection of front-end engineering, UX strategy, and AI-assisted workflows working with cutting-edge tools to prototype faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences that transform complex data into intuitive insights.

You'll collaborate directly with the Lead Product Designer, product managers, and engineering teams to turn strategic vision into reality: from prompt-driven prototypes to production-ready UI components that users love.

What You'll Actually Do

🎨 Transform Strategy Into Experience

• Convert UX strategy into structured user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes
• Build interactive concepts using React and AI-assisted coding workflows
• Bridge the gap between design vision and technical execution

⚡ Accelerate with AI

• Leverage AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to supercharge your coding and exploration
• Generate prompt-driven interfaces and validate interaction ideas rapidly
• Experiment with emerging tools to continuously evolve our approach

💻 Build What Users Need

• Create intuitive, responsive, accessible UI components that feel right
• Contribute to design systems and reusable patterns
• Ensure design intent translates perfectly into production code

🔄 Iterate with Purpose

• Participate in user research and usability testing
• Refine interactions based on real feedback
• Stay ahead of the curve with emerging prototyping technologies

What You Bring to the Table

Essential:

• 3–6+ years in UX engineering, front-end development, or hybrid design/engineering roles
• Deep understanding of UX principles: interaction design, information architecture, accessibility
• Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
• Ability to write production-ready code (not just prototypes)
• Comfortable with AI-assisted coding and prompt-based workflows
• Excellent communication across design and engineering teams
• Portfolio or GitHub showcasing interactive work, prototypes, or AI-augmented projects

Bonus Points:

• Start-up experience navigating ambiguity and moving fast
• TypeScript expertise
• Experience with motion/prototyping tools (Framer, ProtoPie, Principle)
• Design system contributions
• User research or product analytics background
• Genuine passion for AI technologies enhancing creative workflows
