Role Summary

Responsible for designing and governing Java architecture, microservices, integrations, security, modernization of on-prem mission-critical platforms, and guiding dev teams.

Must Have

Core Responsibilities

• Define Java architecture, microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Govern the usage of Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate).
• Lead modernisation with near-zero downtime.
• Design solutions supporting DR, multi-DC, and high-availability.
• Collaborate with DB/Infra teams (Oracle, Redis).
• Establish coding standards & mentor teams.

Technical Skills

• Expert in Java SE/EE.
• Strong Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA.
• Microservices & RESTful API design (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Oracle database expertise.
• Strong understanding of security: OAuth2, OIDC, JWT.

Experience & Soft Skills

• 10+ years development; 2–3 years as an architect.
• Experience with large-scale distributed enterprise systems.
• Leadership, architectural governance, documentation.

Should Have

• Experience with Kafka, IBM API Connect.
• DevOps integration with CI/CD & container platforms.
• Monitoring & troubleshooting using ELK, Dynatrace.
• Performance tuning & security scanning.

Could Have

• NoSQL knowledge.
• Reactive frameworks.
• Exposure to other API gateways, APM tools.
