Executive Director - Delivery

The role of the Executive Director Delivery, reporting to the General Manager Major Projects, leads the delivery of complex capital works projects on behalf of the department and other agencies that deliver positive economic and social outcomes.

About The Role

As the Executive Director Delivery, you will provide high-level leadership and expert advice, collaborating with executive management and a diverse range of stakeholders across government and industry. You will oversee the delivery of complex capital works programs and projects, ensuring they meet time, quality, and cost targets while driving efficiency improvements and fostering cross-sector collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business development to secure a sustainable pipeline of work, ensuring financial stability for Major Projects.
• Strategically manage financial and human resources to deliver projects efficiently and sustainably.
• Develop and implement growth strategies and operational plans to support service delivery and infrastructure development.
• Provide expert advice to senior leadership and government officials on project risks, strategies, and policy matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support economic growth, job creation, and community infrastructure development.
• Promote a positive public image for the department through effective engagement with client agencies and the community.
• Drive workforce planning, succession strategies, and a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the division.
