Join Aristocrat as a Software Engineer and become a vital part of our slot game development team! This role offers an outstanding blend of working with Unity and C#, along with Aristocrat’s proprietary C++ Game Development Kit (GDK). You will work across both handled and native codebases. You will contribute to various gameplay and infrastructure systems. Your work will directly impact the quality and enjoyment of our games, making this an exceptionally rewarding position!

This role is subject to mandatory background screening and regulatory approvals. As part of your employment with Aristocrat, you may be required to complete a criminal background check, submit fingerprints, and obtain licenses or registrations with applicable gaming regulatory authorities.
Aristocrat operates in a highly regulated environment and holds licenses in over 340 gaming jurisdictions worldwide. To meet our global compliance obligations, you will be required to provide the disclosure of relevant personal and background information to government agencies, sovereign nations/tribal regulators, and other applicable gaming regulatory bodies. This is a condition of Aristocrat’s gaming licenses. The specific information required may vary depending on the jurisdiction and project assignment.
At this time, we are unable to sponsor work visas for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the job posting location for this position on a full-time basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain slot games using Unity with C# and Aristocrat’s GDK or equivalent experience in C++.
- Contribute to gameplay, UI, audio, networking, and editor tooling.
- Build and implement modular systems, custom Unity components, and reusable libraries.
- Apply proven principles, clean architecture, and a development approach centered on writing tests first.
- Improve efficiency and memory handling across Windows and Linux systems.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality, jurisdiction-compliant releases.
- Use GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and automated workflows for version control and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across run and native code boundaries.
- Assist in development and deployment across both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in C#, with additional experience or exposure to C++, Python, or Java.
- Consistent track record of delivering multiple game titles and improving development efficiency.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- 1+ years of professional experience in game development.
- Experience with Jira and CI/CD tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong people engagement skills
- A mature approach and the ability to assume responsibility for projects and tasks.
- Very strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to utilize creative thinking to solve complex engineering problems
- Ability to prioritize in a dynamic work environment.
