Role Overview

We are looking for a Scrum Master with proven experience in Agile delivery and a strong understanding of the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Scrum principles, and ensure smooth delivery of high-quality solutions. This role requires excellent communication, servant-leadership, and problem-solving skills to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.


Work location: Melbourne, VIC 3000

Duration: 6month

Client: Insurance based company

Budget: 650 to 700 AUD per day(Including super)


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure well-defined backlog and prioritization.
  • Track and report team progress using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.).
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements in the insurance domain.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, QA, business analysts) to deliver high-quality solutions.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile project delivery. Total Exp - 10+ years.
  • Minimum 2+ years as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong exposure to insurance domain (Life, Health, P&C, or similar).
  • Agile Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to coach teams and stakeholders effectively.
