Position Overview
We’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer with strong technical skills in automated testing, programming fundamentals, and modern QA practices. You’ll work hands-on designing and maintaining automation frameworks, validating frontend and backend services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-quality software delivery.
You will contribute to test strategy, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement of automation, while also supporting team members and influencing best practices across projects. This position is ideal for engineers with solid experience in QA Automation who want to work on cloud-native, enterprise-scale platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, system specifications, and user stories to design and maintain test cases.
- Develop, run, and optimize automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration layers.
- Ensure defects are identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of automation frameworks, reusable components, and coding standards for test automation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate on pipeline optimization.
- Execute automated suites, analyze results, and create clear quality reports.
- Ensure test scripts are fully traceable to requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, architects, and product teams to identify gaps and provide testing solutions.
- Support User Acceptance Testing, including preparation or generation of validation data.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, tooling, and process optimization.
- Assist with SQL queries for validation of backend processes and data flows.
- Provide guidance and support to other QA team members when needed.
- Contribute to roadmap discussions, estimation, and quality risk assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, automation concepts, and testing best practices.
- Solid programming skills in at least one language (Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, or similar).
- Experience with modern testing tools/frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Cucumber, RestAssured, etc.).
- Experience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI, RestAssured, or similar).
- Knowledge of CI/CD environments and integration of automated tests (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Practical understanding of SQL and ability to analyze/validate data.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to self-organize, manage time, and work independently or with distributed teams.
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, etc.).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools related to test execution.
- Exposure to BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin).
- ISTQB Certification.
- Performance testing or security testing experience.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).
- Ability to design or evolve large-scale automation frameworks.
