✅ Team & Leadership: Join a growing lean, high-impact team with a Lead Solutions Architect and a Technical Lead. Based on successes, we expect the team to also grow during the following year. This role currently reports directly to the CEO.

We have the technical engine ready with our Lead Solutions Architect and Technical Lead. Now, we need you, the commercial Duracell who gets excited by white-space, ambiguity, and the chance to drive the idea to market right now.
You won't be waiting for a perfect product to sell. You'll work hands-on to create and close the first custom AI/automation solution deals in partnership with our technical experts. You will be the business visionary who translates market feedback and customer pain points directly to the technical strategy, ensuring we build what actually works, sells and solves client pain points.
Role Details
As the Business Development Lead, you are the engine of commercial growth and market credibility for a completely new unit. You will be the de-facto Business Lead.
- Define and Drive the Go-to-Market: You're the first commercial hire. Your immediate job is to get our first high-impact, custom AI/automation projects signed, from initial workshop sales to Proof-of-Concept (PoC) agreements and pilot projects that scale into production.
- Be the Commercial Bridge: Work as the key partner to the Lead Solutions Architect (who handles technical productization) and the Technical Lead (who handles execution). You own the commercial angle, business model, and pricing. You provide the feedback loop: what’s working, and what needs to change in our approach and angle.
- Convert Custom Needs to Solutions: Your sales expertise must be in the custom consulting space. You can sell a vision and a service, not just a nicely wrapped box. You’ll constantly refine our service offering and feed crucial customer insights back to the technical team.
- Own the Financial Drive: You are responsible for hitting the unit’s revenue goals, starting with a clear target for the first year.
- Proactively Sell & Prospect: Go into the market, talk to customers, and uncover needs that AI and automation can solve. This requires energetic solution selling and lead generation (e.g., starting with selling those first exploratory workshops to new or existing customers).
- Service Development & Concepting: Work hands-on with the Lead Solutions Architect to turn successful custom deals into scalable, repeatable service concepts and offers.
- Business Model Ownership: Define pricing strategies, service tiers, and commercial terms for new offerings.
- Market Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the technical solutions team knows what works, what doesn't, and where the next opportunity lies.
- Custom Sales Track Record (5+ years): Proven experience selling complex, custom consulting services, software development, or technical solutions (ideally in the tech sector). Selling licenses or pure SaaS is not the main focus here.
- AI/Automation Vision & Interest: You are genuinely interested in AI, have hopefully experimented with it, and have a clear vision of how it can create business impact. You’re the type who is constantly thinking about how to drive impact through technology.
- Builder/Startup Mindset: You are a generalist excited by an early-stage team's ambiguity and the need to iterate fast. You are the person who is most fearlessly entering the market to test and drive an idea forward, you are commercially capable of navigating and creating your own path.
- Fluency in Business & Tech: Capable of bridging the gap between a technical solution and tangible business value.
- Language Skills: Fluent professional English (written and spoken) is essential, and Finnish is highly important for our local market focus.
- Initial Compensation Model: Fixed base salary (estimated €6k–7k/month range) with a performance incentive tied to the Solutions team’s overall success and revenue targets. The full commission model will be introduced as the unit and portfolio mature.
- Location: Hybrid in Finland; flexible presence in Helsinki and on-site with customers when it serves the work.
- Travel: Some travel might be expected mainly within Finland and the Nordics.
