The Category Management Team is responsible for driving revenue growth through new product launches and merchandising, focusing on trends, discoverability, competitiveness and creation experience.
As a Junior Category Manager the primary focus is on operational support, data gathering, and analysis. Responsibilities include product lifecycle execution, conducting market research, and preparing performance reports.
You will work cross-functionally to ensure products are launched on time and with a dedicated go-to-market plan.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Assist in the execution of the strategic plan for assigned product categories.
- Gather data and prepare regular reports on category performance, analyzing key metrics - revenue, margin, and product creation under the guidance of a Category Manager.
- Support the day-to-day management of the product catalog, ensuring data accuracy, competitive pricing, and optimal product presentation.
- Conduct market and competitor research to help identify emerging e-commerce trends, merchant needs, and potential revenue opportunities.
- Assist in the coordination of new product launches, working with sourcing, onboarding, and design teams to ensure a smooth and timely process.
- Provide ad-hoc insights to support the Category Manager in decision-making and shaping the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support the execution of effective go-to-market strategies and promotional activities.
- 1-2 years of experience in an analytical, e-commerce, merchandising, or a related commercial role.
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to support recommendations.
- High proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) is essential. Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or similar is a strong plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and collaborative team player, eager to learn and contribute to team success.
- Strong proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine interest in e-commerce and product management.
- Monthly salary EUR 1800 - 2500 gross, depending on work experience, education, and skills
