Job Description

As our operations continue to grow, we are currently looking for a talented and motivated professional to join our team as:

Position: Finance Officer - CDD 1 year

Join our Financial Management Department as a Finance Officer to support the Bank’s budgeting, expense management and reporting activities. You will contribute to the financial operations of Bank of China’s EU headquarters in Luxembourg and its cross-border EU entities by performing key analyses, controls, and reports that support strategic decision-making.

Main Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments in Luxembourg and cross-border entities.
  • Prepare managerial reports for General Management and Head Office.
  • Perform controls and bookings on the General Ledger.
  • Support committee preparation, including materials, communications and minutes.
  • Monitor and manage financial indicators such as net interest income and expense ratios.
  • Contribute to the performance evaluation process.
  • Communicate with internal and external auditors.
  • Maintain and update relevant policies, procedures and documentation frameworks.

Qualifications

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Education Background: Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT or relevant field
  • Certificate requirement: Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Working experience: 0-10 years of relevant experience; entry and mid-level applicants are encouraged; role and responsibilities will be adapted to experience level
  • Hard skills: Strong Excel and data processing skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, data visualization or data processing tools is an advantage
  • Language: Fluent in English (Chinese or other EU languages are considered assets)
