Business Data Analyst / Data Modeler - Credit Domain | Long-term Project

Become a key player in transforming how one of the Netherlands' leading banks manages and delivers credit data.

Work on high-impact initiatives such as Early Warning Models, Probability of Default risk drivers, and end-to-end data products that feed business-critical credit decisioning, analytics, and regulatory processes.

About the role:

As a Business Data Analyst / Data Modeler, you will support the development, improvement, and maintenance of the bank's Credits Domain Data Model (CBDM) and the Credit Data Domain Store, ensuring seamless and secure data delivery to downstream consumers. You work closely with business stakeholders, risk experts, model developers, and data engineers to translate credit data requirements into correct mappings, models, and data products.

You will be deeply involved in two major delivery streams:

1) Early Warning Model (EWM) redevelopment as part of NextGen Lending

2) Model-Based Calibration (MBC) PD risk driver delivery

Your work ensures that all credit data attributes are analysed, validated, mapped, and deployed correctly to enable accurate credit risk monitoring, regulatory compliance, and improved lending decisions.

This assignment is in a dynamic environment, offering collaboration with cross-functional teams, modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks), and ample room to influence how credit data is structured and consumed across the bank.

About you:

  • Experience as a Data Analyst or Data Modeler within banking or credit risk/credit data environments
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and validate business requirements and identify data gaps
  • Hands-on experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling
  • Knowledge of data testing practices (unit, regression, acceptance)
  • Understanding of IT development topics such as release management and working with data engineers
  • Ability to create and adjust data mappings, build plans, and support deployment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business, IT, and risk
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with evolving requirements
