What are we looking for?

The Relocation Intern is responsible for providing care and support to employees and their families throughout a transfer, including the move in and out of assigned locations, arrival, welcoming, settling in and the eventual transfer out. The Relocation Intern designs, executes, evaluates and updates relocation programs within the geographical area of responsibility. This person coordinates vendors, cost control, and legal compliance involved in the relocation process.
Establish contact with the employee and family upon confirmation of relocation to. Initiate the relocation process.
- Define personalized welcome package and arrival services.
- Explain the visa and immigration process.
- Respond to queries relating to relocation and mobility benefits.
- Support employee with relocation and mobility benefit expense claims.
- Manage third-party relocation service provider and suppliers.
- Conduct post-move surveys.
- Ensure relocation policies and procedures are clear and posted on the location website.
- Approve relocation invoices and expense claims from third-party service provider.
- Coordinate with internal and external visa and immigration services to make sure that required documents are obtained, the process complies with local immigration laws, the employee and family are kept updated, and exemption approvals are handled.
- Advise management and employees on relocation policies and procedures.
The VIC (Visa and Immigration) Intern is responsible for assisting employees and their families with obtaining the required visas, permits and documents to travel to or work in a given location. The VIC Intern supports business units and functions in ensuring compliance to Schlumberger policies and practices.
- Coordinate the documentation required for relocations and transfers, business meetings, training, internships, seasonal employment, offshore employment, intermittent visits for work purposes, permanent resident status, desert and offshore passes, and attestations where applicable.
- Maintain internal immigration and visa records as required by law and coordinate with external vendors.
- Maintain files related to immigration laws, such as visas, public access files, labor applications and work permits, and coordinate inquiries by the public or governmental agencies.
- Maintain visa files of employees to ensure continued validity and monitor ongoing compliance with particular visa requirements and right to work.
- Help develop and maintain course material related to visa and immigration topics; provide training to managers, Legal, Human Resources and other employees as required.
