Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Data & Analytics Assistant to support its Commodities Trading team. This role provides hands-on assistance in building data workflows, developing analytical tools, and supporting systematic trading activities. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, analysts, and risk teams, applying strong Python skills and data engineering approaches to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable insights.

Duties Include:

• Assist in converting trading and business requirements into practical data-driven solutions.
• Support the development and enhancement of scalable data pipelines and automated analytical processes.
• Collect, prepare, and analyse structured and unstructured datasets for trading, forecasting, and risk applications.
• Contribute to the creation of reporting tools, dashboards, and visualisations used in systematic trading.
• Assist in evaluating and monitoring machine-learning and analytical model performance.
• Support integration initiatives by helping establish best practices for data management and analytics delivery.

The preferred candidate should possess experience working with Python code and strong knowledge of DevOps practices (e.g., Git, Agile methodology) with additional knowledge in MLOps, model architecture design, and testing patterns) excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact at all levels of business efficiently.
