Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

Join a dynamic technical team focused on advancing a critical healthcare software product for hospital integration. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a Cloud Architect and a Backend/Machine Learning Engineer to address a diverse engineering backlog and prepare the platform for clinical deployment. You will be responsible for increasing test coverage, refactoring and optimizing legacy code and databases, developing new features, and supporting frontend initiatives as needed. The position also involves collaborating with hospital IT teams to clarify integration requirements, data flows, and security protocols. The technology stack includes Python, AWS, Terraform, React, and PostgreSQL. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, bring clarity to complex systems, and maintain high standards as the product transitions into clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Increase automated test coverage across backend and frontend components
• Refactor and clean up legacy code and database structures to improve maintainability
• Design and implement new features in alignment with product goals
• Support frontend development tasks using React
• Participate in technical discussions with hospital IT teams to clarify integration, data flow, and security requirements
• Document technical decisions and maintain clear communication with team members
• Ensure code quality and system reliability in preparation for clinical use
  
  

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience as a full stack developer, ideally in healthcare or regulated environments
• Proficiency in Python, AWS, Terraform, React, and PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of software testing, code refactoring, and database optimization
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience collaborating with external technical teams, especially in integration scenarios
• Familiarity with security best practices and data privacy standards in healthcare is a plus
