Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Terraform, Github Actions, Jenkins, CI/CD, Operations.
Location Stockholm, Sweden
Hybrid 3 days onsite per week
Contract 12-month freelance contract, extendable
Our client, a rapidly scaling technology organisation, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen their operations and reliability function. This role is ideal for an SRE who enjoys working close to production environments, improving automation, refining CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the stability and scalability of critical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, optimise and automate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Manage and enhance infrastructure using Terraform and modern IaC practices
- Support operational reliability across production systems, including monitoring, alerting and incident response
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve deployment processes and reduce manual toil
- Ensure system performance meets defined SLOs, SLIs and error budgets
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reliability, automation and operational efficiency
- Participate in on-call rotations where required
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer or Operations Engineer within cloud or distributed systems environments
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tooling, specifically Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Solid understanding of production operations, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience working in fast-paced or scaling technology environments
- Ability to partner with cross-functional engineering teams in a collaborative setting
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
