StartupHeroes is looking for React/React Native Developer to build features, and improve the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly support products and organisations.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to conceptualize and build new features.
• Take ownership of team features or systems, ensuring their long-term health while improving surrounding systems for operational excellence.
• Mentor other engineers and perform in-depth code reviews.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes to elevate the organization.
• Build and maintain React back office and React Native mobile components, improving existing functionality.
• Work with tools like Firebase, Datadog, CodePush, and Expo.

What we’re looking for

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6/ES7 standards.
• 1–5 years of professional experience with React / React Native.
• Experience with global state management (Redux/Redux Saga, Context API).
• Familiarity with React Router for efficient navigation.
• Strong UI/UX sensibility—able to design user-friendly and appealing interfaces.
• Ability to contribute to technical architecture discussions and drive decisions.
• Write maintainable, testable, and understandable code.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, memoization, code-splitting, virtualization, etc.).
• Practical knowledge of modern frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, ESBuild, SWC, Turbopack, or similar).

Nice to have

• CI/CD knowledge: Implementing and managing automated deployment pipelines.
• Expo experience for cross-platform app development.
• Ant Design experience for building visually appealing UIs.
• Jest testing experience for unit tests and code reliability.
• Google Maps API integration experience.
• React Query experience for server state management and data caching.
• Micro-frontend architecture knowledge.
• Experience with App Store / Play Store deployment pipelines.
• React Native Reanimated experience for performant animations.
