Working As a Java Developer, You Will

  • Build and enhance backend services that support large-scale Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) initiatives.
  • Design and implement robust, scalable applications using modern Java technologies.
  • Conduct detailed code reviews and share constructive insights with peers.
  • Diagnose and resolve software defects while continuously improving system performance.
  • Collaborate with architects and team members to shape application structure and key technical decisions.
  • Support junior engineers through mentoring and knowledge-sharing.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality technical documentation.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading international financial institution undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. The company is known for a modern approach to banking technology, a strong innovation culture, and a commitment to delivering reliable, scalable digital services across multiple European markets.

Qualifications

  • have at least 5 years of commercial experience in Java development (preferably within financial, banking, or fintech environments)
  • have strong hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, microservices, and web services
  • have practical experience with Maven
  • have good understanding of messaging technologies (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • have knowledge of cloud platforms (Google / Azure / AWS), with GCP considered a strong advantage
  • have solid experience with SQL
  • have good command of Git
  • have understanding of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm (training available if needed)
  • have experience working with BPMN 2.0 workflows using Flowable, Camunda, Activiti, jBPM or similar (strong plus)
  • have experience integrating BPM engines with other systems
  • have knowledge of multithreaded programming and distributed architectures
  • have familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack)
  • have curiosity to continuously expand your skill set
  • have a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • have excellent English and Polish communication skills
