The Connected Experience unit within R&D includes Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform, Infotainment, Remote Functions, and Data & Diagnostics. Our vision is to maximize the attractiveness of owning and using a Volvo, make all cars connected, and provide a continuously enhanced experience for both new and existing cars.
What You'll Do
As part of Volvo Cars' Infotainment Park Assist Functions Team in Lund, you will join a highly collaborative and dedicated group of developers working to enhance parking functionality such as reverse cameras, 360 cameras, 3D cameras, and sensors. This role offers the opportunity to work on software development from the deepest level of transforming video streams from the source to the presentation layer in Android, delivering a beautiful and intuitive solution to the driver.
In this agile development environment, you will have end-to-end responsibility for features, taking them from refinement through testing and implementation in the car. Working at Research & Development means being a key contributor to the next generation of luxury cars from Volvo, collaborating with engineers worldwide to create innovative, human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for everyone.

You are highly collaborative and eager for development and challenges, driven by a proactive attitude and a strong delivery orientation. As a self-motivated individual, you excel at working with diverse stakeholders and communicating effectively in English. You are analytical and a problem solver who understands that there are multiple solutions to every challenge.
You enjoy learning from others and sharing your knowledge with colleagues, embodying the spirit of teamwork. To be successful in this role, you bring expertise in camera and video stack development, Android EVS HAL implementation, C++, Java, and Kotlin. You have experience with automated unit and integration testing, Android Framework/AOSP, Vehicle HAL, QNX, SOME/IP, V4L, and GMSL.
Additional experience in automotive or infotainment, camera calibration, Linux development environments, and tools like Git and Gerrit will be considered highly beneficial. Your strong collaboration skills, technical proficiency, and passion for innovation will ensure you thrive in this position.
