Our client is looking for an experienced Android engineer to help build and optimize video playback experiences used by millions of viewers. In this role, you’ll create modular, scalable components and high-performing APIs that power streaming on mobile devices worldwide.

What You’ll Do

• Develop clean, reusable Android APIs and components for video playback
• Design and deliver features end-to-end including DRM, ads, and analytics integrations
• Improve video performance, stability, and startup time across a variety of devices
• Troubleshoot complex playback issues and optimize for reliability
• Contribute to best practices, architectural decisions, and code quality standards
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Build customer-facing features that elevate streaming experiences at scale

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience developing Android applications in Java and Kotlin
• Solid foundation in Android architecture patterns and modern tooling
• Expertise with media streaming technologies (e.g., HLS, DASH)
• Familiarity with ExoPlayer (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and Agile teams
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and performance analysis skills
• Collaborative mindset with the desire to support and mentor others
