A dynamic and prestigious professional services company based in the heart of the City of London are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their friendly team in this newly created role. As a trusted operational partner, the successful candidate will be aligning HR strategy with the business needs, providing expert advice, supporting the employee lifecycle processes and contributing to an inclusive, high-performance culture. Key to the success of this role will be the development of capability in policies, processes, and procedures being assessed and continuously improved, the embedding of the new HR Information System (HRIS), developing HR reporting, coaching and mentoring leaders and managers.
The main focus of the role will include:
- Providing coaching, guidance and support to managers and leaders on all aspects of people management including performance, talent, succession, engagement, wellbeing, reward and development.
- Managing employee relations matters: advise on policy, contracts, disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal policy.
- Designing, implement and monitor HR metrics and dashboards to measure impact, inform stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure talent attraction and a positive entry experience.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment law, HR best practice, sector trends and ensure our HR practices remain compliant.
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and ways of working.
- Adopting a continuous improvement mindset both personally, for the department and for the wider business and support others on their journey of development.
To succeed in this role, the individual will need:
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar generalist role, for a smaller organisation, is essential
- Excellent knowledge of HR practices and UK employment law
- Excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills with ability to build credibility and trust at all levels
- Analytical mindset, able to use HR data, metrics and insights to drive decisions and improvements
- Previous experience facilitating HR related training sessions would be an advantage
- Payroll knowledge
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
