Project Manager - 6-Month Rolling Contract
Chiswick | £450-£650 per day (Outside IR35)
4 days per week in the office minimum
Our client, a rapidly expanding and highly reputable UK transport operator, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the mobilisation of a brand-new business line. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a high-visibility initiative within a dynamic, consumer-facing organisation.
If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy working with multiple stakeholders, and can bring structure to complex projects, this role offers the perfect platform.
- Lead and coordinate the mobilisation of a new business line for a major UK transport provider.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, HR, Sales and Operations, ensuring seamless alignment across parallel workstreams.
- Liaise with external partners and stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Own the master mobilisation plan-tracking timelines, risks, dependencies, and escalation routes.
- Set agendas, drive progress, and roll up your sleeves to support content creation where needed.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to move actions forward effectively and efficiently.
- Establish governance frameworks and coordinate key governance meetings alongside senior leadership.
- Deliver clear, concise weekly progress updates, risk registers, and requests for decisions/approvals.
- 10+ years' experience in project management or operations.
- Experience in transport is ideal, but strong B2C backgrounds such as retail, FMCG, hospitality, or similar sectors are equally valuable.
- A blend of operational and/or consultancy experience (consultancy-only backgrounds are not sufficient).
- Commercial awareness and familiarity with sales-driven environments.
- Exposure to IT projects or technology-led initiatives is a plus.
- A natural organiser with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing transport business at a pivotal moment of expansion. You'll be at the heart of a major mobilisation project, working with senior leaders and influencing outcomes that will shape the future of the organisation.
