Our government client is seeking a Project / Program Coordinator for an initial 12-month contract based in Carseldine with 50% WFH. You will work closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams to enable the successful delivery of program and project outcomes. You will play a key role in maintaining program and project artefacts, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, and contributing to effective planning, scheduling, and financial management.
Responsibilities
- Provide program and project delivery support across multiple initiatives, applying PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, and related program management frameworks.
- Assist Program and Project Managers with preparing, reviewing, and assuring the quality of key artefacts including business cases, initiation documents, plans, registers, and status reports.
- Coordinate governance forums by preparing agendas, minutes, presentations, reports, and decision records, ensuring clear and accurate documentation.
- Maintain and support program and project schedules in Microsoft Project Online or similar tools, conducting regular reviews and ensuring resources are accurately requested and allocated.
- Support managers with timesheet coordination to ensure correct allocation of effort to program and project activities.
- Prepare, reconcile, and maintain financial reporting across budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances, and billing information.
- Monitor and update risk, issue, and change registers, contributing to proactive management of delivery challenges.
- Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams to support effective communication, coordination, and delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve program and project management processes, reporting, and supporting tools.
- Assist with additional tasks as required to support successful program and project delivery.
The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience supporting programs and projects within large or complex public-sector environments, with strong capability across scheduling, governance, documentation, and financial tracking.
