We are supporting a leading telecommunications organisation that is looking for a Technical Project Lead to manage and coordinate projects across their technical infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling and air-conditioning, fire protection, building automation, and security systems.


In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end project coordination for new installations, upgrades, conversions, and decommissioning activities. Your work will directly support infrastructure stability, capacity planning, and cost efficiency across multiple key locations in Switzerland.


Your responsibilities will include:


Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Leading and coordinating infrastructure projects across multiple sites
  • Defining and clarifying project scope, planning deliverables, and ensuring delivery within time, budget, and quality targets
  • Supporting lifecycle and budget planning for technical infrastructure


Technical Responsibilities

  • Ensuring optimal system performance for power supply, cooling/air conditioning, fire protection, building automation, and security installations
  • Contributing to the optimisation of infrastructure components to improve efficiency, stability, and operations
  • Providing second-level support and technical expertise to internal teams


Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinating external specialists, including reviewing offers, ordering, supervising execution, and validating invoices
  • Managing documentation and ensuring all work is properly recorded according to internal standards
  • Acting as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders


Field Operations

  • Maintaining a strong onsite presence (60–80%) across regions such as Basel, Bern, Valais, and Romandie
  • Supporting on-site interventions, inspections, and technical assessments


To succeed in this role, you should bring:


Technical background

  • Completed technical education in electrical engineering
  • Additional technical degree (FH/HF) or equivalent education
  • Experience working in ICT-related technical environments
  • Solid understanding of building systems, technical infrastructure, and operations


Languages

  • Fluent German
  • Fluent French
  • Fluent English


Contract details

  • Location: Zurich (Ambassador House)
  • Travel: 60–80% across Swiss sites
  • Start date: January 2026
  • Duration: 3-month Try & Hire contract
  • Workload: 100%
