DevOps Engineer

Role purpose:

We are looking for a Middle Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong background in modern automation tooling and processes, as well as experience maintaining clustered applications. You will take ownership of issues through to completion, working proactively with project teams in a dynamic, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage DevOps infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to orchestrate code promotion.
• Monitor systems and manage release deployments.
• Support development changes, provide accurate time and cost estimates, attend project meetings, and analyze impact for proposed work.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to meet operational requirements and implement changes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the DevOps infrastructure.
• Suggest architecture and process improvements.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendor products.
• Work with cloud technologies, port existing systems to cloud, and automate processes.
• Automate build, integration, and test cycles.
• Implement technical roadmap as we scale services and build new products.
• Advocate best engineering practices and security standards.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3)
• Strong background in Windows/Linux.
• Proficient in scripting (Powershell).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Expertise in provisioning and configuration management (Bitbucket, Ansible, Terraform).
• Git source control (Bitbucket or equivalent).
• Knowledge of security best practices for data at rest and in transit using AWS tools.
