Senior UX Designer

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our Scrum Team and lead the design of a responsive web application in the financial services sector.

You will work across product, interaction, UX, and UI design, owning the entire design process and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. If you have a passion for creating seamless user journeys and improving design systems, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

• Own the design process from inception to launch for a responsive web application
• Produce low fidelity wireframes, high fidelity pixel-perfect designs, and clickable prototypes
• Create and perfect user journeys ensuring an optimal user experience
• Maintain and improve the Issuer Services Design System, collaborating with developers on the HTML component library
• Guide developers and testers daily on UX and UI decisions during implementation
• Perform testing to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to balance design trade-offs
• Support Scrum Team members by writing, splitting, and detailing user stories and documenting business rules
• Specify UI and micro-interaction details to developers and testers
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, testers, designers, marketers, end users, and stakeholders to solve user and business problems
• Break down designs into incremental releases ensuring each release functions independently
• Write microcopy and maintain tone-of-voice consistency across the platform
• Gather feedback through design critiques and workshops
• Conduct desk-based competitor research and user interviews, updating user personas accordingly

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of UX design experience, preferably with financial services exposure
• Proven experience designing complex, responsive web features from start to finish with a portfolio to demonstrate
• Experience solving significant user needs or pain points through design
• Experience co-owning and evolving a Design System
• Strong proficiency with Figma for design and prototyping
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration
• Understanding of backend and architectural issues at a high level
• Experience with front-end web development is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to document business rules and detail user stories
• Fluent communication skills in English at a B2+ level

• Experience running design critiques and workshops
• Microcopywriting skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
