As a Frontend Engineer you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining the user interfaces of Backlight products. You’ll turn product and design ideas into performant, accessible, and user-friendly experiences that our customers rely on every day.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain frontend components and applications using React, TypeScript, and related frameworks.
• Implement responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate and consume REST APIs.
• Participate in planning, solution design, and other agile team ceremonies.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, and contributing to code reviews and QA activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in collaboration with the wider team.

You’ll work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers across a global, cross-functional setup.

What You Will Bring

• Experience building frontends with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript that consume REST APIs.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub for collaborative development.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).
• Knowledge of CSS frameworks and modern styling approaches.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on code quality and user experience.

Work Arrangement

Our team thrives on in-person collaboration at our Stockholm office. While we value flexibility and support some remote work, most of your week will be spent in the office (typically 3 days per week or more) to foster connection, creativity, and teamwork.
