Senior Network & Security Support Specialist - Dubai - Up to 22,000 AED

Position Summary

The organisation is seeking a senior-level engineer who can take ownership of complex network and security environments and act as the highest point of technical escalation. The role focuses on maintaining stability across data centre, campus, WAN, and security platforms, ensuring seamless operations for a large enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys deep troubleshooting, advanced diagnostics, and resolving issues that require strong technical judgement.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Advanced Support & Incident Handling

• Serve as the L3 escalation expert for network and security-related incidents.
• Investigate and resolve critical issues across routing, switching, wireless, and security systems.
• Perform traffic captures, log analysis, and detailed fault isolation to identify root causes.
• Work closely with internal teams during high-severity outages to restore service quickly.

Data Centre Networking

• Provide authoritative support for Cisco ACI fabrics, including policies, tenants, contracts, and fabric operation.
• Manage and troubleshoot Nexus-based environments (5K/7K/9K), VPC setups, EVPN/VXLAN, and spine–leaf architectures.
• Ensure DC network elements are optimised, secure, and aligned with architectural standards.

Campus & Access Infrastructure

• Maintain and support SD-Access and DNA Center setups, including fabric provisioning, endpoint onboarding, segmentation, and assurance analytics.
• Address issues involving campus switching, wireless performance, and fabric automation.

WAN & SD-WAN

• Support Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) platforms across controllers, edge devices, transport links, templates, and policies.
• Analyse WAN performance and ensure stable inter-site and cloud connectivity.

Security Operations

• Act as an expert in handling multi-vendor firewalls including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco FTD, and Check Point.
• Support and troubleshoot Cisco ISE deployments (802.1X, posture, CoA, TACACS+, segmentation).
• Manage VPNs, content security, intrusion prevention, and perimeter protection technologies.

Operational Governance

• Ensure adherence to change management, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and runbooks.
• Assist with patching, compliance, and network hardening activities.

Desired Technical Background

Candidates should demonstrate hands-on strength in the following areas:

• Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switching
• Cisco ACI (including multi-pod/site concepts)
• SD-Access, DNA Center automation & assurance
• SD-WAN (Viptela) – templates, policies, controllers
• Cisco ISE – NAC, authentication, and policy enforcement
• Firewalls: Palo Alto / Fortinet / Cisco FTD / Check Point
• Strong troubleshooting foundations and packet-level analysis

Experience & Qualifications

• 6+ years working in enterprise network/security environments.
• Previous experience with a Systems Integrator preferred.
• Cisco CCIE certification is mandatory
• Comfortable handling large infrastructures and mission-critical systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based operations is an added benefit.
