Role

We’re hiring a Senior Android Developer to lead feature delivery, guide architecture, and mentor the team while driving our Compose modernization projects.

What you’ll do

• Build end-to-end Android features with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, Hilt/Dagger, Retrofit/OkHttp, Room/SQLite.
• Architect scalable MVVM/Clean modules and champion code quality.
• Plan & execute XML → Compose migrations (theming, state, navigation).
• Own performance & reliability (profiling, memory/leaks, ANRs, Crashlytics).
• Ship confidently with JUnit/MockK, Espresso, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Collaborate with design/backend; review PRs and mentor teammates.
• Contribute to internal tooling for automated refactors and best practices.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years Android (Kotlin) with 2+ years Jetpack Compose in production.
• Deep knowledge of MVVM, Coroutines/Flow, DI (Hilt/Dagger), REST/GraphQL, offline-first.
• Strong grasp of Compose state, Navigation, Theming, Performance.
• Shipped apps in Play Store; familiarity with Play Console and release tracks.
• Testing mindset and CI/CD experience; clear communication and technical leadership.

• Hands-on modernization (XML → Compose).
• Modularization, multi-module builds, Gradle performance tuning.
• KMP / Compose Multiplatform exposure.
• Analytics/observability (Firebase, Amplitude, DataDog); feature flags.
• Security (secure storage, cert pinning).

Compensation & benefits

• Base: CA$115,000–CA$150,000 + 5–10% target bonus
