Salary Range: $52,000 - $103,300

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Location: Hybrid within MA, CT, NY, RI

Purpose/Objective

Assist Project Managers with the coordination of project management activities for multiple projects while collaborating across functional business lines to accomplish corporate initiatives. Projects are executed based on industry best practice and the needs of our clients, therefore the Assistant Project Manager will support Project Managers on providing project management support by documenting the scope, setting critical successful factors, assigning necessary resources, assessing and controlling risk, communicating with stakeholders, executing against an agreed plan, delivering the completed product or service, and assessing the success of the project overall.

Key Accountabilities

  • Under the guidance of Project Managers, the Assistant Project Manager will facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements for enterprise projects. Participate in the management of the enterprise project portfolio, ensuring on-time, to-budget, and to-specification delivery of prioritized IT initiatives aligned with business priorities. 40%
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business representatives and stakeholders. Understand who the client is and what their needs are. Provide realistic expectations and help establish specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitor client satisfaction. 30%
  • Continue to learn and enhance project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques, including scope definition, requirements capture, plan development, risk management, effective communication, decision making, and problem solving. 15%
  • Understand Corporate and Department goals and translate into effective enterprise initiatives, services and capabilities. 15%
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by ones duties.

Education

  • Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
  • PMI PMP or CAMP Certification preferred

Experience

  • 3 years experience managing enterprise projects or being a significant team contributor on complex enterprise projects
  • Working knowledge of the project lifecycle, defining, planning, controlling, monitoring executing, and familiarity with established project management tools and techniques
  • Experience working with waterfall and agile methodologies

Skills & Knowledge

  • Process-oriented; analytical, quality-oriented thought process and execution
  • Excellent written, communications and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of capabilities, limitations, and functional applications of technology systems and solutions
  • Working knowledge in analyzing and creating Business Requirements, Project Plans, Project Schedules and associated project materials
  • Hands-on experience with tools relating to project management and portfolio reporting (Microsoft Project, collaboration software, etc.)
  • ServiceNow knowledge a plus
  • Project Server, excel, PowerPoint skills required
