What you’ll do:
- Assist in designing, building, and managing scalable data pipelines using ETL/ELT processes.
- Support data integration efforts, connecting disparate data sources seamlessly using batch and real-time streaming processes.
- Develop data models and schemas to enhance data warehousing solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Utilise programming skills to automate data workflows, ensuring efficient processing and transformation.
- Maintain data quality and integrity through implementation of validation and error handling mechanisms in data pipelines.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience delivering data pipelines in a business environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen analytical mindset.
- Communication Skills: Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Technical skills:
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks or Snowflake).
- Experience with data engineering and pipelines (SQL, ETL/ELT, distributed systems), metadata driven data engineering, and orchestration services.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Ability to work with metadata driven data engineering pipelines and tools such as jinja and DBT.
