Project Manager – Site-Based BESS Project Delivery

Leap29 are working with a client who are seeking an experienced Project Manager, to take the lead on customer site-based BESS projects, guiding them from initiation to execution.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the full project lifecycle, from planning, to on-site execution, to delivery, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met

• Spot risks early, solve problems proactively, and keep projects running smoothly

• Coordinate internal teams and external partners

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, managing expectations with clarity and confidence

• Align delivery conditions, set up construction sites, and carry out final acceptance of installed BESS systems

• Track schedules, budgets, and quality benchmarks to ensure excellence

• Run regular status meetings and share clear, concise updates with all stakeholders

• Uphold strict health and safety standards across all project activities

• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and budget records throughout each project

Your profile:

• Degree in engineering, energy technology, or a related discipline

• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools

• Proven experience delivering installation/engineering projects, ideally BESS, on construction sites

• A structured, solution-driven mindset with a practical, hands-on approach

• Strong communication skills and a genuine customer-first attitude

• Leadership experience in multicultural project environments

• Ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced setting

• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software

• Fluent German and English (written and spoken)

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, both throughout Europe and to international destinations such as the USA and other continents
