Role: Service Assurance Expert

Location: Helsinki, Finland

Employment type: Full-time


Be part of a mission-critical telecom service assurance team responsible for ensuring network and service quality across large-scale OSS environments. In this role, you will monitor end-to-end service performance, automate fault detection and resolution, and ensure high availability of services through proactive KPIs, dashboards, and analytics. You will work closely with operations, vendors, and engineering teams, contributing to high-speed resolutions, automation-driven improvements, and service quality enhancements in an Agile and DevOps-focused environment.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for OSS Service Assurance systems, ensuring timely incident resolution.
  • Monitor service KPIs, SLAs, and alarms using real-time dashboards and assurance tools.
  • Perform automation scripting using Java and Python for fault detection and resolution.
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain OSS assurance probes and monitoring components.
  • Troubleshoot API failures, integrations, and performance issues across OSS systems.
  • Use AI/analytics tools for anomaly detection and early service degradation alerts.
  • Work with vendors to coordinate upgrades, patches, and issue fixes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with DevOps teams for deployments.
  • Create RCA documentation, operational guides, and support knowledge repository.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes including Incident, Escalation, and Change Management


Experience & Skills Requirements:


Must have:

  • 5+ years in OSS assurance systems support.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python for automation scripts.
  • Knowledge of Tomcat, JDK, Spring, Hibernate frameworks.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and SLA dashboards.
  • Ability to configure and maintain OSS assurance probes.
  • Experience with API testing and integration troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of OSS KPIs and proactive monitoring.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and incident escalation workflows.
  • Familiarity with AI-based anomaly detection tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in reducing MTTR and improving SLA compliance.

Good to have:

  • Exposure to automation for fault detection and resolution.
  • Worked in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Experience in vendor coordination for assurance tools.
