NextOre is seeking a skilled and passionate Magnetic Resonance (MR) / RF Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for project engineering, product development, and process control of high-frequency Magnetic Resonance radio analyser systems. You will design, develop, test, and commission electrical and electronic systems to ensure reliability and accuracy in our cutting-edge products. Prior experience in industries such as defense, aerospace, telecommunications, or mining will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-frequency RF systems, including DDS/PLL synthesisers, high-performance receivers, and active/passive HF antennas.
- Conduct engineering analysis, prototyping, risk assessments, and testing for product development.
- Perform PCB layout using tools like Altium and ensure robust designs to component level.
- Develop and implement digital signal processing solutions using FPGA and C programming.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical) to integrate systems effectively.
- Travel interstate and internationally for equipment commissioning or maintenance (up to 3x 2-week rotations annually).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on expertise in RF design, PCB assembly/soldering, and system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Altium, MATLAB, Python, Electra, MS Office Suite, and PLC control systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
