Could you be the full-time System Engineer for Passenger Information Systems (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to John Slager and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
As a System Engineer you apply the principles of system engineering to the sub system architecture, interfaces and design and to the selection of major components. You should be able to performs design assignments requiring initiative, resourcefulness and design experience and provides advice and guidance to other engineers or designers.
We’ll look for you to:
- Analysis of customer requirements and implementation in software and subsystem requirements.
- Functional support of the systems & features from the request to customer acceptance (V-cycle).
- Planning and monitoring of individual & team task packages.
- Documentation and updating of work package planning.
- Align design, development, and testing activities with the pools in terms of content, effort, and time.
- Interface to other departments, customers and external partners.
- Support in ensuring configuration management and change management
- Support of subsystem development and purchasing in the support of subsystem suppliers.
- Status development and reporting.

- Completed university or technical college education in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology, computer science or comparable qualification.
- Very good written and spoken English skills.
- Very good analytical skills.
- Software development knowledge, IP (Internet protocol) communication is an advantage.
- Goal-oriented, systematic, independent, cost- and quality-oriented way of working, very good communication skills, initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team with high stress resistance and resilience.
- Ability to lead international cooperation.
