Manual QA Engineer (Contract)

I’m recruiting a Manual QA Engineer on a contract basis for an established Irish technology company that builds high-volume, mission-critical platforms for the global racing and sports betting industry. This role is perfect for a detail-focused tester who enjoys working across complex systems and wants meaningful ownership within a busy delivery team.

What You’ll Do

• Manually test web and mobile apps (iOS/Android), internal tools, and backend services
• Validate integrations, data flows, and APIs across a hybrid Azure environment
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data
• Log and track defects using Jira and work closely with developers, product, and DevOps
• Support release cycles via Azure DevOps
• Spend ~20% of your time preparing structured test cases for future automation (Playwright/Selenium)

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years’ manual QA experience across web/mobile applications
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and regression/functional testing
• Experience with API testing (Postman/Swagger) and basic SQL
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure Storage, and VM/AKS environments
• Excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills

Nice to have: Exposure to automation frameworks, CI/CD, Agile, or betting/financial systems.
