Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to define, align, maintain and evolve the Data Governance policies, standards, process and roles
  • Responsible for the formation and execution of a data governance framework detailing the hierarchization of data elements / assets and parameters to be setup as well as detailed definition of use cases of implementation. Ensures cross data domain standards
  • Ensure alignment of above mentioned standards with data teams, self-service consumers, data modeler, technical architect and quality assurance teams or other relevant counterparties
  • Training and support for stakeholders in understanding and apply the defined policies, procedures and working guidelines
  • Contribute with the rest of the team to continuous improvements of the Data Management standards and policies and monitoring process
  • Monitor and report on compliance to data standards and procedures
  • Collect business requirements for data governance activities
  • Recommend improvements to all data governance tools (data quality, Glossary, Lineage, RDM, Report Catalogue) through systems and platforms
  • Review, develop and maintain business glossary entries and data quality rules
  • Identify and address data issues in existing processes and systems
  • Support stakeholder engagement and provide overall monitoring dashboards for all areas
  • Contribute to data-related projects across the enterprise
  • Manage data dictionary definition, and modification process
  • Responsible for ensuring the overall framework for list of values and config tables (RDM) alignment
  • Act as an escalation point, chairs Data Governance Forums
  • Ensure proper impact analysis and lineage metadata is available on all data management objects (Glossary, DQI, RDM others)
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, estimate duration of activities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology advancements relevant for domain of responsibility and contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new tools and techniques in the area of responsibility



Experience

  • Experience as Data Governance Analyst/ Data Analyst in financial services industry projects
  • Business knowledge in financial services industry
  • Proven understanding of Data Management processes and principles
  • Mid level experience with building queries in different DB


Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of banking processes and products
  • Advanced understanding and experience in data management area


Other Essential Skills

  • Good knowledge of data management concepts (Glossary, DQ, RDM, Lineage)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex functional requirements
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion as well as acting as a mentor and consultant for internal consumers and analysts
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strive to constantly improve and automate Data Management artefacts delivery, processes and tools
  • Experience working with Agile approaches and best practices
  • Quick learner and highly motivated to keep up with latest technologies


Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related data field.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Data Governance tools: Glossary, Data quality, RDM, Lineage
  • Mid / Entry level Experience with building queries in various DB (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Data Bricks, Snowflake)
  • Experience with Ataccama suite (glossary, DQ, RDM, Lineage)
