What to Expect:

We are looking for a Bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist based at our Montreal location reporting into the B2C HR Manager. The primary responsibilities for this incumbent is to partner with our Retail team, to manage the recruitment process, provide subject matter expertise and insight, and enable hiring managers to select the best quality candidates.

A day in the life:

  • Understand the needs of the business and successfully execute the talent acquisition strategy for our boutique network across Canada. Deliver high quality talent into the business by successful management of the recruitment process in alignment with our Talent Selection methodology and by ensuring effective screening and interview process and coaching line manager with selection decision.
  • Become a trusted advisor to hiring managers and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) by providing subject matter expertise to inform activity, developing creative solutions to hiring issues and constructively challenging selection decisions. Take responsibility for ensuring hiring managers are compliant throughout the recruitment process for both internal and external candidates.
  • Responsible for administrative duties related to recruitment effort
  • Candidate relationship management. Develop engagement and rapport with candidates, placing a higher degree of focus on those identified as highly suitable for current and future positions. Transfers insight about newly hired candidate, generated from assessment during recruitment process, to ensure effective on-boarding and creation of early development plans.
  • Demonstrate and advocate the use of relevant technology throughout the recruiting process. Optimize the use of our Applicant Tracking System to manage the recruiting process. Understand and advocate the use of job boards as a vehicle for the attraction and sourcing of active and passive candidates.
  • Support driving process improvements to current practices.
  • Coordinate with line managers to ensure proper onboarding activated for respective new hires
  • Contribute to team projects/initiatives as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • Bilingualism in English and French is required for this position. The role involves frequent and complex collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and/or internationally. These interactions necessitate a high level of proficiency in English to effectively perform the tasks associated with the job.
  • 3+ years high volume function recruiting experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with automated Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • A university degree or college diploma in business or related field. Professional Human Resource Designation considered an asset.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in an HR system (e.g., SuccessFactors)
  • Knowledge of recruitment tools (Indeed, LinkedIn)
  • Experience in retail industry
  • Experience with competency-based interviewing
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong customer service orientation and sensitivity to confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Sound judgment and ability to develop practical HR solutions
  • Detail-oriented with strong process and metric focus
