JOB PURPOSE
As part of the Products & Solutions team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and optimization of product data and communication to support internal customers (sales) and external customers. Your primary focus will be to guarantee that proper product information—both data and marketing content—is accessible across all platforms.
You will serve as the global single point of contact for Schoeller Allibert’s IBC (Intermediate Bulk Containers) and FLC (Foldable Large Containers) product ranges. These products are vital to the company’s product roadmap due to their unique selling points (USPs) and innovative positioning in the market.
Key responsibilities include managing the product lifecycle, overseeing product information systems (PIM), and ensuring that internal and external stakeholders have the tools and knowledge necessary to work with these product lines effectively. You will play a critical role in optimizing product presentation, maintaining product portfolios, and driving the growth of these categories.
YOUR JOB
You will work to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force by supporting the IBC and FLC product lines through the following key activities:
Product Management
- Develop and manage product roadmaps for IBC and FLC product ranges.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from development to phase-out, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Drive category growth by focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct market research, benchmarking, and range analysis to identify opportunities for new product development (NPD).
- Highlight USPs and improve product presentation to enhance customer engagement.
Data and Information Management
- Manage and enrich the Product Information Management (PIM) system by maintaining accurate product data and taxonomy.
- Create and update catalogs, brochures, and product specification sheets.
- Ensure proper documentation, creation, modification, and archiving of all IBC and FLC product data.
- Act as the key contributor to the company’s single source of truth system for product information.
Stakeholder Communication and Training
- Provide training and communication for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of IBC and FLC product features and benefits.
- Serve as the single point of contact (SPoC) between sales, supply chain, procurement, pricing, and product management teams.
- Conduct global product training sessions tailored to various regions and industry verticals.
- Develop and maintain training content to ensure consistency and relevance.
Product Innovation and Collaboration
- Integrate new material technologies into products to drive innovation and market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and procurement teams to manage key product components, including liners, pallets, sleeves, castors, and dividers.
- Support new product launches with customer-facing PowerPoint presentations, brochures, press releases, and website updates.
Ongoing Responsibilities
- Participate in weekly update calls with the Product Director and team.
- Attend PIM core team meetings to ensure product data accuracy and system alignment.
- Regularly review product roadmaps with the Product Director to maintain portfolio optimization and ensure successful lifecycle management.
- Support global product directors in optimizing product information and ensuring clear communication across all regions and departments.
You will operate in a complex decision-making environment, interacting with senior management across Schoeller Allibert’s regions and functions to ensure effective product lifecycle management for IBC and FLC ranges.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
You will definitely have;
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of education in a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an international midsize or large organization.
- Previous experience in the plastic returnable packaging industry is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record of managing internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Solid knowledge of business processes and master data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in project management and handling cross-functional teams.
Nice to have :
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and the injection molding industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to improving department operations.
- Excellent leadership and networking abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
- Skilled in seeking alignment and collaboration across various departments and teams.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 30% of the time.
