Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer II in San Mateo, CA to ensure that processes are streamlined and error-free using CloudFormation, Ansible, and Consul to reduce DevOps operational overhead and enable auto-healing. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent and one (1) year of experience developing, deploying, and testing databases to support games console network; managing NoSQL database systems for the games console network; keeping databases robust, scalable, and resilient to failures; conducting comprehensive code reviews for multiple deployment pipelines; examining the codebase to ensure adherence to best practices; identifying potential issues and providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability; and utilizing technologies including Couchbase, Cassandra, Aerospike, DynamoDB, DAX, MSK, Elasticache, Kafka, AWS Services, Cloudformation, EC2, AWS Lambda, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager, AWS S3, SQS, Cloudwatch, Golang, Shell Script, Python, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, and Jira. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. Sony is an EOE.
Salary range: $174,860.00 – $245,500.00/year
