Synechron is hiring a Sr. Applications Engineer.
- North Sydney
- 5 days work from office - mandatory
- Fixed Term Contract - 6 months + extendable

Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of application development technologies, architecture, tools, and methodologies.
- Sound experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, and Struts development in a large corporate environment.
- Proficiency in multi-tier application design and development. Experience with classic ASP desirable.
- Familiarity with databases IBM DB2 for application development.
- Experience with application servers like Tomcat. Knowledge of Microsoft IIS 6 and IIS 8.5.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, including OWASP guidelines.
- Experience working with digital certificates and PKI is desirable.
- Exposure to Spring technologies, PING, and SailPoint is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with Apache Kafka is also highly desirable.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and application deployment strategies.
- Exposure to financial systems applications in online eCommerce is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application development and deployment processes.
- Automate application build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Technical design and development of data analytics applications on the finance platform. Engage in coding and troubleshooting technical problems.
- Provide hands-on support for financial applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
