We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize our network infrastructure in a fully remote environment. You will work closely with IT and security teams to ensure stable, secure, and high-performance network operations across the organisation.
๐ฏ Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and maintain network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot issues
- Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with best practices
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with IT, cloud, and security teams on cross-functional projects
- Maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and procedures
- Assist in evaluating new network tools, technologies, and solutions
- 2โ5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking equipment
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Understanding of network security practices and firewall management
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
- Must be based in Australia with full working rights
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or Network+
- Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), or VoIP systems
- Knowledge of automation tools or scripting (Python, Bash)
