We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize our network infrastructure in a fully remote environment. You will work closely with IT and security teams to ensure stable, secure, and high-performance network operations across the organisation.

• Design, configure, and maintain network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot issues
• Implement network security measures and ensure compliance with best practices
• Support network upgrades, migrations, and optimization initiatives
• Collaborate with IT, cloud, and security teams on cross-functional projects
• Maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and procedures
• Assist in evaluating new network tools, technologies, and solutions

• 2–5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking equipment
• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
• Understanding of network security practices and firewall management
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
• Must be based in Australia with full working rights

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or Network+
• Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), or VoIP systems
• Knowledge of automation tools or scripting (Python, Bash)
