The project centers on modernizing mobile architecture, delivering cross-platform applications, and ensuring best-in-class performance across iOS and Android. The team is focused on building robust, reliable, and user-centric mobile products aligned with cloud-native backend services.
Role Overview:
Band of Coders is seeking a Senior Mobile Architect with extensive experience building and delivering mobile applications at scale. This person will drive technical direction across mobile platforms, lead architectural decisions, mentor developers, and ensure seamless integration with distributed backend services. The ideal candidate combines strong mobile engineering expertise with strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong mobile engineering expertise with strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Lead the technical vision for cross-platform mobile development using modern frameworks.
- Ensure seamless integration with cloud-native and distributed backend systems.
- Drive technical decision-making and mentor mobile engineers across teams.
- Oversee delivery of high-quality applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Conduct advanced debugging, performance optimization, and mobile profiling.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to align mobile solutions with business goals.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience, including deep work with SaaS and distributed systems.
- Extensive background designing and building large-scale, distributed architectures.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide technical strategy.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and cloud platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving and strategic-thinking abilities.
- Proven track record delivering high-quality cross-platform mobile apps to both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Deep knowledge of at least one cross-platform framework:
- React Native, Ionic, PhoneGap/Cordova, or Flutter.
- Strong native development experience in both:
- Android: Kotlin / Java
- iOS: Swift / Objective-C
- Strong debugging skills and advanced knowledge of mobile performance profiling tools.
