We are seeking an experienced Project/Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of substation projects integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role requires strong leadership in managing complex construction activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving projects to completion within scope, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure with proven project management skills.

Contract Length - 12 months (option for extending)

Rate - €1000+ per day

Location: Salzburg, Austria

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage project timelines for substation and BESS facility construction, ensuring milestones are met
• Coordinate construction activities across contractors, engineers, and suppliers to maintain seamless execution
• Monitor project deliverables to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, local grid codes)
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, clients, and internal teams
• Oversee commissioning activities for substations and BESS integration, ensuring operational readiness
• Coach and support project team members, assigning tasks and fostering collaboration

Key Skills:

• Proven experience managing substation and/or BESS construction projects
• Strong understanding of power systems, grid interconnection, and energy storage technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in construction and energy infrastructure
